Well can you believe it… we are at the end of October and 2017 is slowly coming to an end. I can’t actually believe how fast the year has gone. It’s been a year already since we moved into our new house this month.
The prompt for #Blogtober today is “Year in Review”. I thought this was the perfect opportunity to reflect back on each month of this year and relive the memories.
January… the month I turned the big thirty this year. I got to spend a whole weekend on my own in London celebrating it. I went for food an enjoyed plenty of sightseeing. I haven’t had such a relaxed weekend in a long time. Traveling is definitely a passion of mine.
February… Chloe turned the big two. This meant she definitely turns into a toddler. Her birthday was celebrated in the circle of the family. She doesn’t like too many people around her anyway.
March… Matthews godfather and his son came over for a visit over the St Patrick’s Day bank holiday weekend. Unfortunately it wasn’t the best weather but we still made the most out of it. We went to Dublin Zoo and had a feed in TGI Friday’s.
April… Easter season but also our first family trio abroad on a ferry. For the Easter holiday we spent a few days in the UK. We were staying in the Drayton Manor Hotel in Birmingham. The kids had a ball. Definitely the best holiday so far.
May…I had been saying at the start of the year that I wanted to get more involved in the blog community. And so I booked a ticket to attend the BlogOn conference in Manchester. I loved it so much that I bought another ticket for BlogOn Xmas in September.
June…the start of a great Summer. Also the time Matthew has started his swimming lessons and decided he doesn’t need stabilizers on his big anymore. Which led to buying him a new bike. Matthew Also graduated from pre school.
July… Such a busy month it was. The weather was absolutely gorgeous the month of July and Ireland actually got a bit if summer for once. Of course we took advantage of that and explored county Kildare. Destinations were Kildare village, Japanese gardens and Kildare farm with my friend who came for a visit from Sligo.
August… it started off with a weekend away in County Wexford where we visited a farm and a Lighthouse. Furthermore Matthew turned five years of age which he celebrated with his creche friends in a play centre. The fun continued on in our house with the cousins. As well as that we reached a huge milestone as Matthew started school the end of August.
September…you can definitely see autumn is here. The month of September has been fairly quite for us. We didn’t get up to much other than walks in the woods and a few play dates. I attended BlogOn Xmas in Manchester. Hubby signed Matthew up for football training as well and he is so excited to go every Sunday morning.
Now we are all getting very excited for Halloween. The house is decorated and the kids can’t wait to dress up. Matthew gets to dress up in school on Friday and again on Tuesday in creche.
Before we know it, it’s Christmas. Would you believe it, I actually picked up some wrapping paper in Lidl today. I kind of made list for presents too but I am far from buying any.
