If you have a train loving child, then the following review will be just for you. Even though Matthew is five years old, he still likes Thomas the tank engine every now and again and everything around trains. Particularly since we came back from our holiday in the UK.
We were recently asked by Bladez Toyz to review their latest Thomas the Tank Engine playset. The kids love their toy range and I have worked with them many times before. We simply couldn’t say no to this one.
This track comes in eight jumbo tile pieces. It’s like a little jigsaw really. There are many different ways to build a track and let the motorised Thomas choo choo around on it. This is brilliant for your child’s development and encourages problem solving and coordination.
Thomas requires a battery (AAA) which is not included. Prepare to have a few spare as I find the battery didn’t last that long. Now that might only be because we didn’t have the best batteries in the house.
Chloe and Matthew enjoyed putting the tracks together and seeing Thomas move around on the track. The jigsaw pieces have defined details of all the other engines such as Percy, James, Diesel, Henry and the Fat Controller. As well as that it has a train station, a circus tent and much much more. Matthew pointed out a few times to me that Thomas needed to stop at the signal box. He was racing over it.
The track playset is available to buy directly from the Bladez Toyz website for £19.99.
Disclaimer: We were sent this product for the purpose of this review. As always photos are my own and it’s my honest opinion.
This looks great! J would love it. It is disappointing that at that price it doesn’t come with batteries though.
