The Mummy Tag

Oh how I have missed a good tag. I haven’t had one in such a long time. It was about time I found this one a few days ago. It’s called the Mummy Tag.

1. Are you a Stay at Home Mum or a Working Mum?

I am a working mum. I am working full-time 5 days a week 9-5. Since March I am off every Monday as per my parental leave agreement with work which takes the ease off me.

2. Would you have it any other way?

I would not no. I am that kind of person who needs to do something, keep my mind occupied with something else other than bringing the kids from playgroup to playgroup or doing arts and crafts at home for example. I am not a big arts crafts fan neither am I good at coming up with stuff to do with them.

3. Do you co-sleep?

No. It’s not something for any of my kids. In saying that my nearly 4 year old decides to come into our bed in the middle of the night for the last 4 months or so. Completely random. I don’t really mind because he sleeps grand until the morning. So I guess you can call that half co-sleep.

4. What is your one must-have item for your baby?

Must-have item the stupid it sounds is the dodie. It’s what soothes her most. (It’s also what wakes me up at night when it falls out of her mouth!) Another item I would be lost without is the buggy.

5. How many kids do you plan on having?

We originally said 3. This was when we haven’t had any kids yet. When we had one we decided to have another one as we wanted a girl. We got a girl and our family is now complete with two kids.

6. Date nights? How often do you have them?

They are extremely rare. My bestie was over from Germany the beginning of this year. That’s when we decided to go for a meal. Apart from that we haven’t had a date night in probably 1 year at least. I’m not confident enough to hand someone else my two kids. It’s probably silly.

7. Your child’s favourite show?

Chloe is not into TV so Matthew’s favourite TV show is definitely Blaze and the Monster machine.

8. Name one thing you bought before you had the baby and never ended up using?

The mamas and papas seat where you can make them sit up straight and they are nice and secure. Waste of money.

9. Your child’s favourite food?

Matthew’s favourite food is probably pizza and raspberries and blueberries.

I don’t really know about Chloe because she always fights me on dinners. She did like the broccoli chicken cheese with rice I made the other day.

10. How many cars does your family have?

Two

11. Weight gain, before pregnancy, during, after and now?

First pregnancy I put on a huge amount of weight. My weight were swollen too. I didn’t lose much weight after the pregnancy either.

Second pregnancy was a walk in the park weight wise. I didn’t gain much and I lost weight after the pregnancy without trying. I weigh even less than I did 10 years ago.

12. Dream holiday with your kids?

Disney cruise. I’ve seen an ad recently and I think it would be perfect. Another one would be Florida with Disney World tied in.

13. Dream holiday without your kids?

Anywhere in the world really. I’d love to visit Hawaii or Las Vegas one day.

14. How has your life changed since having kids?

Everything changed. As somebody said to me before “Your life will change once you have children”. It’s true. I’m greatful for having my kids. We can have some tough times sometimes but we’re usually working our way through it.

15. Finish the sentence “It makes my heart melt when…”

My son says I’m his best friend.

Chloe comes over and puts her head on your knee to get a cuddle.

16. Where do you shop for your kids?

H&M, Next and Mothercare. Sometimes Pennys/Primark for socks underwear.

17. Favourite make-up and skincare products?

I’m not big into make up but I always buy Maybelline New York.

18. Huggies or Pampers?

Pampers.

19. Have you always wanted kids?

Yes, always. I was annoying hubby until we decide to give it a go.
