If you have been following me on Instagram in the last two weeks, you will notice a strong Halloween theme going on. Yesterday afternoon I added the last Halloween bits outside the house. This weekend we will be busy carving Pumpkins and going to a Pumpkin Patch.
Last week I was tagged by the lovely Karen who blogs at Breathe Life to take part in the Halloween Tag. I haven’t done a tag in such a long time. And because the questions were different to my last tag, I couldn’t resist but participate. So here we go…
1. What’s your favourite non scary Halloween film?
Without a doubt “Hocus Pocus”. We watch it every single year. I mean how can you get sick of it? It’s got to be the best Halloween movie in history.
2. And your favourite scary film to watch is?
I love the Halloween series with Michael Meyers. It is the ultimate scary Halloween Movie. I will be definitely sitting down in the next few days and watch all of them back to back. Of course I went to the cinema last year when the new one came out.
3. Do you have any Halloween traditions?
Even before I had children, it is a tradition to at least two pumpkins and display them near the front door. You just simply can’t celebrate Halloween without carving pumpkins. I am also always very excited to start decorating our house and the outside for Halloween. We started baking Halloween goodies too now the last few years. It is basically another Christmas but Halloween.
4. What is your favorite season of American Horror Story?
I have never watched this series.
5. Favourite thing about Halloween?
All the colours and decorations that come with it and the dress up part too.
6. What Halloween costume will you or your children be wearing this year?
Last week we went to Tesco to pick out the Halloween costumes for the kids. I am glad we went because the sizes we needed were nearly all gone. Matthew went for some sort of zombie/monster costume and Chloe picked a pumpkin onesie. Her size was all gone so we picked a smaller size and thankfully it still first her perfect. She has been wearing it every day since. As for myself I haven’t quite decided what I want to be yet. Possibly some sort of zombie.
7. Has anything spooky ever happened to you?
Yes a few small scenarios have happened to me in the past.
8. Who is your favorite fictional serial killer?
Michael Meyers
9. What’s on your Halloween playlist?
“This is Halloween”. The kids started to watch the movie “The Nightmare before Christmas” the other week and we have seen the move twice in a row at this stage. The song is stuck in my head every single day.
10. Do you hide behind a cushion at a scary bit on TV or are you so brave it doesn’t bother you?
I used to be much better with scary movies when I was younger. Though as I get older, I am getting more scared. I don’t even know if that is a thing but I sometimes just skip the scary bit or look away for a little while.
11. Would you spend a full night inside of a haunted house if someone paid you?
First of all it depends on you how much they pay and if I can take at least another person with me. Then I would, but on my own I wouldn’t. Hell no!
