Siblings in July

I know, I have been saying it every month. The time is flying by. We are in the middle of July already. Summer is in full swing and I can’t wait to have a few days off at the beginning of August. We planned to go away on a little family trip but we are not sure yet. It might be a last minute thing. Maybe the UK again because we enjoyed it so much at Easter.

July has been generally really warm. The mornings can be still a bit cold but by lunch time it is humid. This means we can finally leave the jumpers behind and send the kids in their t-shirts or in Chloe’s case in her lovely dresses. At least she gets good wear out of them now. We have been actually quite busy this month and had plans pretty much every weekend.

We have been making an effort in the last month to explore the new area we live in. Kildare is huge and has loads to offer. There are still a lot of things we would like to do in the next month or so. Matthew loved wandering around in the maze we visited three weeks ago. Probably more like loved getting lost in it.  It was so hot that day but we were topping up plenty of water. Chloe enjoyed running around on the crazy golf course following his big brother around.

Nothing has changed really in the last month regarding their relationship and bond. They love playing together one minute and the other they could kill each other fighting over a toy. Or Chloe got a different biscuit to Matthew and the war started. Only normal I am sure between siblings.

We have also spent a lot of time in the garden at the weekend. Outdoors makes them happy. They love helping me water the plans, drawing with chalk on the path. Recently they have discovered though that the front of the house though is so much more fun than the garden. We still live in a quiet area of the estate due to some of the houses still being sealed off and therefor not ready to move in for people. It’s pretty much a cul de sac. They follow each other around on their ride ons and bikes.

A week ago we’ve been to a kids party in the North side of Dublin. As always it took Chloe a little bit of time to get used to all the different children but then she warmed up and started playing, too. Matthew stayed with Chloe most of the time.

Nearly three weeks ago we got a new kitten. They both love him but I think he has become a little wild since the kids started playing with him. I suppose a little kitten is fun that jumps around all day. Chloe and Matthew are giggling running after him. It’s cute to watch.
