How are you getting on with your little ones and their teeth? It’s either one way or the other isn’t it? I am lucky to have one child who has no problem brushing his teeth. He happily does it by himself but I always help him out to make sure they are brushed properly. Them we have another child in the family who absolutely hates brushing her teeth.
I am not sure why she hates it as she never had a bad experience and she is only three years of age. It’s possibly the sensation on the tooth maybe. Brushing teeth is something I enforce. With a history of fillings myself, I don’t want my kids going through the same torture. Their first dentist visit should be a pleasant one. They actually had their first dentist visit Summer last year. Matthew was surprisingly a really good boy and sat in the chair with the glasses on so the dentist could have a look. Chloe on the other side needed a bit of force to actually be able to look into her mouth. Both kids have perfectly healthy teeth.
When Playbrush got in touch to try out their new playful way brushing teeth, I thought I would go for it… what could I possibly lose. It might actually work for Chloe. Then one day we received a parcel. It included two of the little connectors which sit on the toothbrush. They come with a charging cable which can easily be charged overnight. The connector comes in four different colours. With this package you also receive four games free of charge, a toothbrush and a phone holder to pop up in the bathroom. All at a cost of €24.99.
Once the two connectors were charged overnight, the next day, before bedtime I told the kids about it. They were super excited to try it out. At first I was a bit skeptical that Chloe, at the age of three, would be able to manage this. However she surprised me positively. She does struggle with the directions and a bit and does need help getting to the top part of the teeth. It all just requires a bit of help and she will have it cracked in no time. She really enjoyed the coaching.
Matthew couldn’t wait to start. We started off with the coaching so he would understand where to brush and for how long. I do find they struggle a bit with the directions when they use either the mini games or the coaching. Sometimes I would say he is brushing on the wrong side of the mouth which he actually isn’t. I suppose it’s all about the way you are holding it. Right now we are using Playbrush only in the evening time as it’s too time consuming in the morning when we all need to be out of the door at a certain time.
Playbrush is in fact helping Chloe and Matthew to brush their teeth and also how to do it right. The days of fighting Chloe to get her teeth brushed could be over soon.
