Mumsnet Baby Bundle App

A few weeks ago I applied to be a product tester for Mumsnet new parenting app called “Baby Bundle“. Last week I was over the moon to be one of the selected ones.

The “Baby Bundle” app is an app aimed mainly at new parents to help them along their first two years of parenthood. The app is sponsored by Nurofen for Children. It’s packed with a lot of different features. There are free features as well as pro features. If you want to avail of the pro features, they will give you a free trial of 7 days. Once you got passed this period, an auto-renewal will continue with a monthly subscription of £1.49. This can be cancelled anytime of course.

Once you installed the app on your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch, you will be presented with a sign up/log in screen. This is where you create your account and setup your babies profile. Give it a bit of a personal touch and add your babies photo in as a profile picture as shown in the above picture.

Down where the plus is on the screen, this is where you can add your babies daily feed, sleep, nappy or if you are breastfeeding pumping. The nappy option goes into detail of whether it was wet, dirty or a mix of both. The notes can be used if your baby is off form, has been to the doctor or other records you would like to record.

Other key features on the app are Parenting Guide, Health Reference, Baby monitor, Check up planner, Growth Tracker and Family Sharing.

Parenting Guide: This section will give you advice in the baby care and parenting area. Advice is given by several mumsnetters also. Whether you want to know when to start the weaning journey or how to do sleep training, it’s all in there.

Health Reference: I found this section the most useful one. Mainly because it has all symptoms in it to see why your baby could be sick. I find myself googling for hours sometimes, trying to figure out what could be wrong with Chloe and there are so many different opinions and sometimes you could be googling something and you didn’t even want to read because it sounds so bad. Well, this section has you covered for sure, from Eczema. Reflux, Teething, Conjunctivitis to Nappy Rash.

Baby monitor: This is only a handy tool if you have two iOS devices in the house. All we have is an iPad mini in the house which means this feature is no good to us.

Check up planner: This is the health checkup you go through with your doctor as birth, 6 weeks, 3 months, 1 year etc. It tells you what the doctor will check and what questions you may have.

Growth Tracker: In here you can keep track of your babies length, weight and head circumference. To me I think this is only really helpful in the first year to make sure your baby is well and puts on weight the way she should.

Family Sharing: You can invite any family members or babysitters/nannies to view your babies records and they are also able to edit them. This is brilliant for when you have a babysitter on site and you are away for the night so the babysitter can record her feeds for example.

I leave you to it and I hope you will enjoy the app as much as I did.

Disclaimer:  I was picked by MNHQ to review this product/ service, which I received for free. This review is in my own words and reflects my true opinion.

This app looks to be the ideal little app for parents and the health referencing bit alone would save hours of googling!! I also like the monitor function, very clever!

The health reference alone is worth it…how many times have I googled in the first 2 year’s!

I like the look of this app – looks clean and user friendly. Not sure I’d want to pay a monthly subscription for it. I can see how it would be really useful though.

There are so many baby apps out there at the moment but this looks like way more informative than others! How awesome you can set up a baby monitor too! x
