Parenting is probably one of the hardest but also the best thing in life you will ever experience. However it is also very important to shut off sometimes. My eldest has recently turned six and in those six years we probably took advantage of a babysitter a couple of times. We said we would change this once we moved house, almost two years ago.
Nearly two years on in our new forever home we did make an effort multiple times to go out just as a couple. On three occasions though Chloe had other plans and was feeling unwell. The latest one was not even two weeks ago. We will get there eventually. We are planning to have another meal out in less than two weeks again. Fingers crossed this one will happen.
When you move to a new area, it is particularly difficult to engage with people and find a babysitter. For me it is important to find the right one and I do have certain criteria. Luckily we now have the advantage of a minder from Matthew’s and Chloe’s creche who is available to mind the two every now and again. It makes life so much easier, while Matthew is no issue to put down to bed, Chloe is very picky who put her down and how. This girl though, she doesn’t mind as she loves her.
In saying that, sometimes she might not be available and so I would like to have a backup, just in case. I have been approached by Babysits recently and they asked me if I was interested to try out their service. I didn’t realise until then, when I had to create an account, that I have used their website two years ago when it was only a setup and hasn’t spread that well. Now though, Babysits has 9,711 registered babysitter in the country as of today.
It is super easy to sign up. They even have an app which is very handy on the go. Apart from blog work, browsing and all I like doing on my phone. Though you can easily access the mobile compatible website on your phone, too. Once signed up, edit your profile to your needs. It is important to leave a details message for the babysitter so they have all the information they need. Then enter the age of your children and what days and time of the day you require a babysitter.
With your free Babysits account you are able to search for babysitters but only with the premium account you are able to contact them which I find fair. The premium subscription fee per month is just €9.95. If the service is not for you, you can cancel at anytime.
Personally I think this is a great service. I have used many other websites before to locate babysitters and this seems to be running nice and smooth. On the plus side I am receiving messages from potential babysitters on a daily basis which is good, because it means a lot of people would use this website. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family and everyone out there who wants a night out or meal with the other half.
