A Day with Aldi Mamia #MamiaDaysOut

A few weeks ago I received a lovely hamper in the post. It consisted of Aldi’s 100% organic baby food. Aldi Mamia’s award-winning 100% organic baby food range starts at just 59p. It includes fruit and savoury pouches, fruit pots, rice cakes, and flavoured spring water – ideal for at home or on-the-go.

As a family of four we are not really going out much to be honest. We might have the odd walk into town which is only 20 minutes away and have a browse around or go for a walk around our area where we live which can take up to an hour. We did get into habit of taking the kids to the play centre every Sunday. Well, daddy is bringing the two of them. We decided to make a day out of it at home and try out all the different organic foods from Aldi . I made a video as well which you can see a summary of at the bottom of this post.

Saturday morning, our day started off with a nice breakfast. Chloe loves Readybrek. She loves it even more when it has half a fruit pot in it. It gives the porridge a bit more flavour. We  added the Mamia Apple & Pear pot in it. It’s delicious. I could eat a whole pot myself.

At lunch time we enjoyed a sandwich, some fruit and a few rice cakes from Mamia’s Junior range. They are mini rice cakes. Matthew insisted on having the green packet for boys and Chloe the pink packet for girls. The green packet is an apple flavour whereas the pink one is raspberry.

After lunch Chloe went up for her hours nap. This is her routine everyday, whether she is in creche or at home. When she woke up around 1.30pm, I gave her some Mamia’s spring water drink. It’s got apple & blackcurrant in it. The juice was gone in seconds. I am very strict when it comes to having juice. Generally my kids only get water during the week and one or two cups of juice at the weekend. I know you can get bored of having just water all the time. I don’t like water myself.

We have yet to try out the fruit pouches. Available flavours are apples & strawberries, bananas & apples, mango, apple & banana and apples, carrots & parnsips. I gave daddy a pouch at the weekend when he went to the play centre with the two but the kids were so busy playing, Chloe didn’t get a chance to have a taste of it yet. I am sure we will get to try this in the next week or two. The latest will be in two weeks as we are moving house. We will have a car journey in front of us so these will be handy to have on the go then.
