I have been missing a few days of the Blogging Challenge due to getting organised for the Christmas holidays. Today is my first day off (Woohoo). I won’t back into work until December 30th which is nice.
Today it’s all about “Surivival Tips” on the Blogging Challenge. For some it means “how do I survive Christmas?”, for others it is the best time of the year. I am in the second category. I love all the candles, smells, decorations, music etc.
In that case, this post is all about “what can you not live without during the Christmas period”.
First on the list I would imagine, you have to make sure you have all you Christmas shopping done on time and you didn’t forget anything. A very common item to forget, and this is the end of the world for children, is batteries. Make sure you have plenty of batteries in the house for the toys on Christmas Eve/Day.
Of course things like milk and bread need to be there.
Now more about my own personal things I couldn’t live without over the Christmas period.
Christmas is known for eating a lot, especially chocolate. In Germany it is tradition to create a “Christmas Plate” for each family member. This doesn’t necessarily have to be just chocolate. I had clementines on mine in the past which I love too.
This year I have created one big plate for the whole family. And you might have guessed, half is already gone. I wonder who we blame? (It’s not the child this time)
Another important item on the list is the advent calendar. I couldn’t live without it to get more excited for Christmas and open a door every morning. Matthew enjoyed it so far.
Hubby has been generous this year and already gave me one of the Christmas present he got for me. A new laptop! This makes blogging so much easier. I don’t have to ask him for his one anymore. I’ve only been using it since yesterday evening and I am already in love with it.
When the first advent is approaching the arches lights can’t be missing on the window sill.
What’s your survival tools this Christmas?
