Day 1 of the “12 days of Christmas” blogging challenge has come along.
I am so excited to be able to take part in this.
The recipe I am sharing with you I haven’t tried out myself this Christmas but it is my favourite one during this season. Its German and very popular to be eaten at Christmas markets.
Mutzen
Ingredients:
– 250g Quark (any polish shop should have this)
– 2 Eggs
– 220g Sugar
– 2 Packs of Vanilla Sugar
– 250g Flour
– 1 tsp Baking Powder
– Fat/oil
– Plenty of Icing sugar
How to prepare:
Throw all ingredients together in a mixing bowl and mix well with a hand mixer on the highest setting.
Heat up oil in a pan.
Use 2 teaspoons to create small balls and drop them into the oil. Sprinkle them with as much icing sugar as you like.
Tada, enjoy!

They are actually. You get a whole piping formed bag at the Xmas Market
I’ve never heard of these before Janine but they do look great. I’ll have to ask my Jacek what quark is 🙂
