My little princess turned 7 months of age today. Mad isn’t it? The time goes so much faster when you have 2 kids.
So let’s update you all on her development…
Height/Weight: I have no idea what length she is yet. The next official check up is not until she is 8/9 months old. But I am sure she is the average size of a 7 months old.
Right now she weighs 8.5 kg (18.7 pounds). I only know this because last week we ended up going to the doctor as she picked up some sort of stomach bug in crèche/nursery and was vomiting early in the morning and had spiking temperatures. She is much better now though.
Sizes: She is between sizes 6-9 months and 9-12 months. Leggings for example she would be in a 6-9 months but jumpers and t-shirts she is in size 9-12 months already. Obviously stretchy clothes like light jumpers or dresses she is in 6-9 months but at the moment I prefer buying 9-12 months because she has more room around the tummy.
Bedtime: Her bedtime routine has stayed the same and I don’t plan on changing it. She could wake up at 5 am sometimes because her dodie fell out but generally she goes back to sleep until 7am. Her brother doesn’t sleep any longer than her anyway.
Feeding: I am trying to keep her food more textured now as she has been on puréed food 2 1/2 months now which means it is time to move on to the next stage. She has also tried eating Liga biscuit. It is messy but she is well able for it. Might be good time to get her to eat vegetables on her because she keeps trying to take the spoon more and more. More work for mammy but on the other side it might mean that Matthew could possible start eating vegetables again.
Other things happened this month:
– doesn’t sit up yet
– just needs a final push and she should be able to roll over
– says “mam mam mam” and “nan nan nan”
– loves watching Mickey Mouse clubhouse
