It is well over two years now since we moved into our new home. The majority of things were done in no time but decorating each room only gradually happened. When you work full-time and have kids to mind the other times, it is hard to find the time to do this in a big chunk.
Last weekend we celebrated Chloe’s fourth birthday. I wanted to document this a few days ago but busy day to day life got in the way. I find it important to write it down so I can look back on it in many years to come.
Windows is something I never really think about. As long as they look nice, I don’t go into much detail what sort of windows I want. The windows in our new build home I never looked at too closely. I am sure we had the option to choose something custom but I was happy with what was already in place.
Dear Chloe, I can’t believe I am writing yet another letter to you. It means you are once again one year older. The time is just flying by. Today you are turning four years of age. You will be having a little party with your friends in creche and I am sure there will be lots of cake. Matthew told…
We have been in our new home over two years now. It actually takes a while to get everything back in place the way you want it. Different layout of the house has to be taken into consideration or trying out something new that wasn’t possible to do in the old house due to space issues.
It has been two weeks already since I jetted off to Spain for a short trip away with my friend Karoline. It was something that I booked spontaneous. She was going anyway but I decided I would join her. I love a good travel deal on flights and accommodation.
Here we are in the middle of January with a new aim to take more photos of brother and sister each month. I got a bit lazy over the last year but sometimes I have lack of time, too. However the last month or so I started picking up my proper camera again.
I know we are all well over the Christmas period this week but I still think this deserved its on post because it’s not just operating over Christmas
It’s already day six of the new year. Some of you may or may not have been to reality already. Matthew is back to school tomorrow and it’s time to start the normal routine again which is making lunch every night…not missed at all.
I think it’s fair to say that we are all back into the routine the last two days. I have been back to work since Monday. It is a bit depressing alright after having over a week off but money has to be made, that’s just the way life goes. I thought I would share with you how our Christmas…
We are in the final hours of the year 2018. It was a good one. Not too much action like the previous year but still plenty of adventures and experiences for the kids. 2019 will be a busy one for us. Hopefully we will be going on a Summer holiday as the last one has been two years.
It has become quite a tradition on my blog at this stage, where I write a post at the end of the year that reflects back on the year that was.
Last weekend we set off to meet Santa in County Kildare. I am trying to mix up the location each year. This year I booked Santa’s Magic Trail in the Clanard Court in Athy. Thought we’ve only been living in Kildare two years, I have never been down that end of the County.
Have you booked your Summer holiday for next year yet? Or maybe you are waiting until all the Christmas madness is over and book in the new year? I haven’t decided yet, whether we will go on a Summer holiday at all next year. The last one was two years ago so we should really treat ourselves.
As it’s the last month of the year, I thought I should take part in the project one last time for this year. I know I have taken out some time from it the last month or two. I just didn’t have anything to share about the two really but then I remembered the lovely collage I created of the…
Two weekends ago me and my friend Sandra went off to Belfast for the weekend. We met there as she was traveling from Sligo and I was from Kildare. Prior to our trip we setup an itinerary where we would like to explore in Belfast. We met up at the Holiday Inn Express hotel which had free parking… heads up…
How are you all holding up with the Christmas presents? Do you still need to buy a few last minutes gifts or are you all done? I am all done apart from the wrapping part. However this year Santa decided not to wrap the presents. They are going to be in the kids sack. The boxes are too big this…
The year 2018 is slowly coming to an end. It’ll be Christmas in just two weeks time and then we are not far from New Year’s Eve either. It has been a good year.
At this point most of your kids wrote their letter to Santa and probably posted them too. Every year An Post collaborates with Santa to send the letters to the North Pole and he even send a reply back. We have only ever done this once. Matthew was only small at the time so he wouldn’t remember.
This December I am kind of taking part in the Blogmas Challenge. It is supposed to be a post every day. So far I failed miserably but I am doing catch up at least and don’t give up altogether. Three years ago I shared a festive recipe on my blog which is very popular at all Christmas market in Germany.
