Day six prompt for the Blogtober challenge is Flowers. I could associated a lot with flowers but because I don’t have any flowers in my own home (Everything in the house I am growing is dying), the only other thing that came into my mind was the garden. The garden has been on my list since the beginning of the…
It has been well over a month since Matthew first started school. In Ireland the class is called junior infants. It’s still very strange to see my boy all dressed up in his uniform going to big school. He is only five. I first went to school when I was six. Thought I entered first class then. The system works…
I have to be honest here. Doing the laundry is an absolute nightmare. By the time I caught up with the whole laundry basket, it’s full again. It’s never ending. I might get lucky and have it empty for one or two days but in no time it is up to the top again. Obviously it’s worse with kids, but…
The month of October I am taking part in Blogtober which was created by Amanda. She blogs at Hex Mum Blog. Today’s prompt for #Blogtober is “Date”. First thing that jumped into my mind was the first date hubby and me went on. So sit back and enjoy a funny first date story.
While I was browsing Bloglovin’ late last night, as you do, I came across #Blogtober on Kimberley’s blog. Something that I have been looking for a long time. I am missing out on two days but I am definitely joining in from now on to write a blog post every single day in October. That is going to be a…
Last Monday there was exciting news at the Trunki headquarters. If you are one of their subscribers, you will know by now that they released two new Trunki designs. One being Cassie Cat and the other Rocco Race Car. We were super lucky and got to review one of them. And even more exciting news, if you are a regular…
“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gibran At the weekend we braved the outside world again. It has been a while since we visited the local woods. The weather wasn’t too bad and the afternoon was free with nothing planned. Hubby has been taking the kids to this forest a few times…
I am a bit late with Me and Mine the first time ever. September has been manic and it was flying by. Within a glimpse of an eye it was the end of September. I have mentioned before that we didn’t venture out much as a family. That’s the reason why we went out this weekend to take our monthly…
The weather has gone a bit mad in the last two weeks. One time it’s warm and sunny and next thing you have to get the warmer coats out again. We are definitely in autumn now. Once it becomes colder outside, I love trying out new soups. Maybe it’s just me. In fact I am eating a lot of soups…
At the weekend it was my second time to head to Manchester to attend the BlogOn conference. I enjoyed it so much back in May that I went and booked my ticket for the September one, too. Plus, it was completely Christmas themed. What more can you want. People who know me, will know how much I love preparing for…
It has been almost four weeks since Matthew started his first day at school. Time is flying by lately. So much so that I have posted very little in September. I have also taken very little photos of the kids. I am trying to get back into it and have a family day out at weekends again. Now it is…
When it comes to traveling with children, us mums have to think about everything. Everyone with kids knows how much stuff you need. You’re still trying to pack as little as you can. But I have seen parents with actual car seats that can be pushed at airports simply because they need it for their rental car for example. There…
For Matthew’s birthday he received a lot of Lego. I haven’t bought him any Lego before because he was never into it and never asked for it. The closest we ever got to Lego, was Mega Blocks and Lego Duplo. I am happy to help him out with everything as indeed I enjoy building these myself.
We are half way through the month of September. The last two weeks I have definitely noticed a climate change and the short sleeved tops are going further and further back in my wardrobe. I have done a bit of shopping lately for the kids for some more long sleeve tops. Two days ago I even had to get out…
In just two weekends time I will be heading off to the BlogOn conference again. I have been for the first time in May. I enjoyed it so much that I bought a ticket for the September one, too. Plus I like a little mini trip away every now and again. Manchester is not exactly far with a half an…
This time last year I did an interview with Matthew who was then entering pre-school at the time. One year on and he has been going to big school almost two weeks already. I was curious to see what his answers would be now a year later. Year by year his speech would also improve. In fact he talks a…
Last week we set off on another adventure in County Kildare. Just before the weather gets bad (which it is right now!). Hubby and me took a day off to treat Matthew on his birthday while Chloe attended creche. It was nice to have one on one time and just focus on one child. I looked up beforehand where we…
Last Thursday we probably reached one of the biggest milestones yet. After so many years of spending his time in creche, he entered the big school life. It’s hard to believe that time has come already. He looks so grown up in his uniform. It’s very surreal.
“YOU ARE THE BOWS FROM WHICH YOUR CHILDREN AS LIVING ARROWS ARE SENT FORTH” BY KAHLIL GIBRAN” I didn’t bother with a living arrows post last week because my blog was filled with birthday posts enough. The weekend wouldn’t have been any different.
We are heading into the weekend already. As I write this, my now five year old has completed two days of school this week. He is now watching some well deserved Lego City. The week has gone super fast. I had three days off this week and it’s back to normality next week. I could get used to dropping him…
