I am really watching my kids sugar intake. It is very important they have healthy teeth. During the week they always get water only in their cups. It’s a habit we got into and I don’t want to steer away from. I used to drink a lot of sugary drinks as a child (still do) but these type of drinks for my own kids are only a treat every now and again in our house now.
Not too long ago Appy drinks got in touch with me to try out a selection of their kids juices. I thought we will give it a go. I am very vary when it comes to colourful looking kids drinks. Usually they scream sugar at you.
The drink selection they offer at the moment range from Peppa Pig, Ronald Dahl to Paw Patrol and the Minions. The Peppa Pig juice comes in a pack of three and has three flavours available which are tropical fruit, orange and apple/summer berries. As Chloe loves Peppa Pig, she likes to have a treat of this drink at the weekend.
The Paw Patrol range comes in a pouch just like Capri Sun. Flavours available are apple and orange. The pouches come in a pack of five. All drinks are vegan approved.
What did we think of it?
As mentioned at the start of this post, this is a type of drink I would only ever give as a treat. They do say lower in sugar and no added sugar on them, however I compared these with other drinks. The Peppa Pig juice has the same amount of sugar as a Fanta Lemon would. This is not supposed to sound bad in any way but I do want to make you aware of the ingredients.
Appy Kids drinks are available at Tesco, Pound World, Spar and Paulton Theme Park.
